Ten thousand graduate applications, two weeks, one bar
Campus hiring has no thin CVs to rank and no slack in the calendar. It needs a different first round, not a faster version of the same one.

Article Stats
Graduate hiring inverts the usual problem. Experienced hiring is about distinguishing between varied histories; campus hiring is about distinguishing between people who have nearly identical ones. Same degrees, same internships, same three society roles. CV ranking has very little to work with, which is why so many graduate schemes fall back on university brand — a proxy that is both weakly predictive and reputationally expensive.
The signal has to come from assessment instead, and it has to arrive fast, because the whole cohort applies inside a two-week window and the strongest candidates hold competing offers by week four.
Move the structured round to the front
Instead of screening CVs down to a number the panel can handle, interview everyone. A structured first round via AI Interviews gives every applicant the same questions on the day they apply, and produces comparable scores across ten thousand people — which is the only fair way to rank a cohort whose paper credentials are indistinguishable. Assessment centres then run on evidence rather than on who wrote the better cover letter.
What graduates notice
Speed and clarity. A first-round invitation within 48 hours and a published timeline do more for early-careers employer brand than any campus event. And a white-label experience means the process carries your brand throughout, not a vendor's.
Say what is automated
This cohort is the most AI-literate and the most sceptical. Pew Research reports that a majority of Americans would not apply to an employer using AI to make hiring decisions, and Gartner puts candidate trust in fair AI evaluation at 26%. Publishing exactly what the AI does — asks the same questions of everyone, scores against a rubric, never issues a rejection without a human — converts that scepticism instead of triggering it.
